Snowball Swing Kids Swing Teens 2024 was amazing! And so was our summer camp in Herräng! Thank you everyone who took the time and spent time with us! And to EVERYONE: Welcome back to join us again in Stockholm 27-30th of December 2025! Everyone who books our camp are welcome to social dance at Snowball on December 26th and 31st.
This is a collaboration again between us and 4 Swede's Production. 4 Swede’s production are the organizers of Snowball. All dance classes for Kids and Teens and all our activities are arranged by us, Mattias and Hanna Lundmark and our wonderful team. As usual, in true Swing Kids Swing Teens spirit, there will be plenty of Lindy Hop and plenty of time to get to know all the new dance friends. WIN two SPOTS
We want everyone to have the chance to try the world’s best partner dance! That’s why we’re hosting a competition where we’re giving away 2 spots for Swing Kids! Anyone aged 8–12 who has never attended our camps before can enter.

In our dream team we of course have us, Hanna and Mattias, and also Wilma Edlund, Maja Hellsten, Tobias Ramberg, Albin Thorsten, Valdemar Selgeryd, Amanda Berglind and Olivia Schneider.
We will bring in some of our favorite parts from Herräng which are the tasters (aka your own choice) and also the evening activities, where we have fun every night between 7.30-9.30 pm.

Swing Kids Swing Teens
The camp is for everyone between 8–17 years old. We are planning two main groups, divided by age:
We will offer Lindy Hop lessons on 3 levels, and you’ll indicate your dance experience when registering. Our goal is to provide high-quality classes from beginner to advanced.
No previous dance experience is required, but it’s important that you enjoy dancing! Depending on the number of participants, the age groups for Kids and Teens may be adjusted.
When registering, you’ll choose between:
The Classes
This is a day camp where participants stay with us from 10:00 to 16:00 for four days. Each day includes 2–3 dance classes and 1 additional activity, mixing everything from partner dancing to streetdance.
The teachers at our camp are both national and international superstars.
For the partner dance lessons, you’ll indicate whether you want to lead, follow, or if you don’t mind either. We’ll keep an eye on balance and open a waiting list if needed.

This year we offer a special elective where you can choose between:

In addition to dancing, we’ll enjoy lots of activities that give us the chance to get to know each other better. These include everything from crafts, spa time, games, movie nights, and small outings. If the weather allows, we’d love to go outside with the groups, so make sure to bring warm clothes for winter play. We also offer evening activities, where we have fun every night between 7.30-9.30 pm.
Food
Fruit is included every day in the dance camp fee. For 500 sek, you’ll be able to order a lunch package. Participants may also bring their own lunch box or leave the camp to eat with their guardian during the lunch break. Please note that unfortunately, there is no possibility to refrigerate lunch boxes during the day.
Evenings
In the evenings, we offer an optional activity from 19:30–21:30. Attendance is not taken, so you can join freely in games, crafts, social dancing, competitions, and other fun activities. All Swing Kids may bring a guardian in the evening, who leaves when their child goes home. Everyone aged 13 and above is expected to take responsibility inside the hotel on their own.
On Tuesday, December 30, there will be a showcase at 19:30, where family and friends can come and see what we’ve learned. After the performance, we always host an epic after-party for all participants and their families—with dancing and full-on fun!
New Year’s Dinner
All children attending our camp are welcome to come and dance on December 31, and those who wish may also book a delicious dinner. Adults can reserve their seats through the Snowball website by clicking on this link.
For children, there is a New Year’s dinner for 169 SEK, which includes herb-baked chicken, oven-roasted potatoes, hamburger, pancakes with whipped cream and jam, and an ice cream buffet.
To book the dinner for children, you will need to use a Google Form that we will email to all parents. We will arrange seating so that all children and teens can sit together. Adults who would like to sit with other Swing Kids/Swing Teens parents are also welcome to fill out our Google Form (one per person), and we will organize tables for you. However, all meals for adults must be booked and paid for through the Snowball website.
Accommodation
You can choose to book accommodation at the hotel, which we recommend, since it makes it easier to socialize, dance, and enjoy a bit more sleep in the morning. Of course, you can also drop off and pick up your child each day.

- Competition & Show Acrobatics (register with a partner). Here we’ll try more advanced lifts and throws. You and your partner must have at least 2 years of Lindy Hop experience.
- Intro to Acrobatics (register solo, we’ll pair you up). We’ll practice different exercises and preparatory training for acrobatics. No partner or prior experience required.
- Streetdance: Locking & Popping. For those who love Streetdance, we offer a deeper dive. Locking is a playful style with quick movements, jumps, and poses. Popping features more robot-like motions where you “pop” your muscles, with a strong focus on musicality.
Activities
In addition to dancing, we’ll enjoy lots of activities that give us the chance to get to know each other better. These include everything from crafts, spa time, games, movie nights, and small outings. The dance camp is for everyone who is 8 years old (born in 2018) to 17 years old (born in 2009), from beginners to those who want to dance competitively.
This summer, July 6-10, we offer the following groups, and international means that we speak both Swedish and English in the lessons:
* International Classic Swing Kids (8-12 years). This group can be divided into two groups in the form of Kids and Cats depending on the number of entries.
* International Classic Swing Teens (13-17 years). This group can be divided into two groups in the form of beginners and continuation depending on the number of registrations.
About international Classic Swing kids Swing teens
There are seven Lindy Hop lessons: some lessons focus on social dancing and some choreography lessons. All students have themed classes, their own choice and activities.
Theme classes
We always offer three themed classes and the groups are divided by age. Each group has one lesson each in the respective theme class.
Prices and food
The price for 2026 is SEK 3300, of which SEK 500 is a non-refundable deposit after you register. The participation fee includes the closing dinner on Thursday and Friday's lunch. A food package comprising five lunches (Sunday-Thursday) is exclusive of the course fee and can be purchased on site and then at a cost of SEK 700.

Own choice
The lessons are age-integrated and you have four lessons of your choice. Choose between:
* Solo jazz and Tap: Authentic jazz with a focus on rhythm, with and without tap shoes.
* Street dance: Modern dance to contemporary music. (Can be divided into 2 groups if the basis is available.)
* Play in a band. Bring your own instrument and play in an ensemble.
Activities
The camp offers a combination of dance lessons and fun activities during the days. The activities are a way for students to get to know new friends and relax. The camp takes place at 10.00 to 16.40, Sunday to Friday. We offer evening activities between 20.00 and 22.00 Sunday to Wednesday. Thursday evening the students get to show what they learned during the week and family and friends can come. On Friday there will be a swimming excursion and then a tea dance on the Dansbanan. On Friday evening, the entire Herräng Dance Camp is masked and the theme is "Blockfest". So don't forget to pack suitable fancy dress clothes and feel free to bring something that you want to incorporate into the party.
Accommodation
There are several options that HDC offers: dormitory accommodation, rent a room in Woodside, book private accommodation, bring a tent or caravan. There are also several options on Airbnb.se.
Woodside is simple accommodation with one bunk bed per room, with mattress, duvet and pillow. You bring your own bed linen and towel.

Herräng Dance Camp
The dance camp runs parallel with Herräng Dance Camp, which started already in 1982. All adults can take classes and dance at the same time as their children, so this is an excellent summer activity for the whole family. In addition to the dance camp there is plenty to do: Bands and DJs play on three dance floors, exhibitions, dance competitions, masquerades, shows, vintage clothing shop, taster classes, lectures, panel discussions and vintage films. Experience cultural heritage with Herräng's beautiful mines, visit Grisslehamn, Norrtälje, Roslagen's lakes and beautiful ocean, archipelago, forest and wildlife. Accommodation is everything from bunk beds in dormitory, tents, caravans or rent a cottage in the village. There are restaurants, food carts, café, ice cream parlor, a small local shop and the town Hallstavik, only 10 minutes away by car. |
